kids Asterisms
"Kids Asterisms" is a small asterism of three 3rd magnitude stars in the constellation Auriga.
- Epsilon Aurigae
- Haedus I
- Haedus II
are the three stars which form Kids asterism. The three stars represent the baby goats (i.e Kids) carried by the charioteer Auriga.
- You can easily locate this asterism , if you know the Star Capella.
- face towards 310 degree north west , where you can find yellowish star Capella (upper right to Venus) in the Auriga Constellation.
- Slightly below(lower left of Capella), you can see three stars forming triangle,this is Kids Asterism.
About Stars:
- Haedus I is 1700 times more luminous than Sun.
- Haedus I is 850 light years Away
- Haedus II is 220 light years away.
- Epsilon Aurigae or Almaaz is 2000 light years away.
