Ever Wonder What The Sun Sounds Like?

Our Sun might seem quiet from the earth, but the
truth is that if we could hear the sound of the Sun, it would probably be pretty annoying. "The giant ball of superheated plasma experiences constant
convection cycles in which super-hot gasses, each
about the size of Texas, rises and falls constantly
across its surface" says heliophysicist Craig
DeForest. As per the DeForest calculations, the Sun would exactly sound like "10.000 Earth's covered in police sirens, all screaming". Although, he believes the sound would drop to about 100 decibels after travelling 92 million miles from the Sun to Earth. But
this is a great reminder of the sun's strong abilities and we must be thankful for the vacuum of space that prevents the transmission of sound.
